Display Boards

Many delegations can’t stop with just a resolution; they want everyone at JUNA to know more about their nation!  In the past, we’ve seen delegates make and distribute pamphlets, leaflets, flyers, and brochures to advertise their nation and resolution to other countries. Several delegations decorated their tables to show their nation’s colorful culture and customs. But that gets in the way at delegates’ tables, so what can we do?  Let’s capture this enthusiasm and channel it toward teaching everyone about your nation, its issues, and its hopes for the future.  Let’s make a DISPLAY BOARD!

Display Board Instructions:

Display Boards are a wonderful means to educate others about your nation and its culture, issues, and geography. This display board is like a “silent ambassador” or billboard for your nation that will inform and inspire others about your unique country

They are also optional; your team does NOT have to bring one to JUNA.  Some teams have students who love to create them; some teams don’t want to.

For those who want to make a display board, we have two categories that will be judged.

The Traditional Tri-fold Display:

  • Is a tri-fold board of cardboard or foam core that can stand up by itself (usually 36” x 48”)

  • Shows your country’s location on a map

  • Describes your nation’s resolution

  • Is neat, visually appealing, and informative about your nation

  • Is made by the delegates only

  • It may include information about your mini-grant, its purpose, and the agency

  • Pictures, cloth, artifacts, postcards...anything you want others to know about your country, put it on there!

The Non-traditional Display:

  • Can be made of any materials

  • Can be no larger than 60” high, 60” wide, and 30” deep (including items placed in front of the display.)

  • Shows your nation’s location on a map

  • Describes your nation’s resolution

  • Is neat, visually appealing, and informative about your nation

  • Is made by the delegates only

  • It may include information about your mini-grant, its purpose, and the agency

  • Pictures, cloth, artifacts, postcards... anything you want others to know about your country, put it on there!
